Comments The creator of this imprint appears to be an agile, medium sized bird. Common in the area are blackbird (Turdus merula), pigeon (Columba livia), carrion crow (Corvus corone) and black-headed gull (Larus ridibundus). I checked the wingspans given in a popular bird book: the pigeon's is 32cm, the crow and gull are much larger and the blackbird is much smaller.

Town pigeons seem to suffer infection in their feet, leading to loss of toes. This one seems to have one complete toe.
